Event technology at Ramar means the connectivity layer underneath the show: engineered WiFi, dedicated or satellite internet, fiber and network design sized to the guest count, the streaming load and the venue's real conditions.
Venue house WiFi is built for a handful of hotel guests checking email, not 800 attendees, twelve iPads running registration, a live stream, wireless lighting control and a payment terminal at every bar. When connectivity fails at an event it almost always fails during the busiest ten minutes, and it takes registration, streaming and show control down with it. We design around that by building a dedicated event network instead of borrowing the building’s.
A typical deployment starts with a bandwidth budget: how many concurrent devices, how much of the traffic is uplink (streaming, broadcast, file transfer), and what has to keep working if the primary circuit drops. From there we specify the circuit — venue fiber, a dedicated line, bonded cellular, or Starlink for remote and tented sites — then design coverage with long-range access points, VLAN separation for production versus guest traffic, and hard-wired drops for anything that cannot tolerate a dropped packet.
On estates, tents, beaches and Caribbean resorts where there is no usable infrastructure at all, we bring the whole stack: satellite uplink, generator-backed power, weather-rated enclosures and cable paths that survive a load-in. Because our crews also run the power distribution and rigging, network gear is installed on the same passes as lighting and AV — one team, one schedule, one point of accountability.

Common questions
Can you provide internet where the venue has none?
Yes. We deploy Starlink and bonded cellular with generator-backed power for tented, estate, beach and island sites that have no usable circuit of their own.
How much bandwidth does a live-streamed event need?
It depends on stream count and resolution, but the number that matters is guaranteed upload, not advertised download. We size the circuit to the uplink requirement and hold headroom for guest traffic on a separate network.
Do you separate guest WiFi from production?
Always. Show control, streaming and registration run on isolated VLANs so guest traffic can never saturate the systems the event depends on.
Do technicians stay on site?
Yes. Network deployments are staffed through rehearsal and show, with monitoring on the production network so problems are caught before anyone in the room notices.
